The film “Mosquitoes” precisely because of its desire to represent a snapshot of the 1990s in a middle-class town in northern Italy, was shot in several cities that lent their own unique characteristics, enriching the story without imposing any specific geographical constraints. This approach allowed the film to be realistic, but also to take on a universal character, thus offering the viewer a very specific socio-cultural slice of life.
The Lombardy Region, with its 2021-2027 regional program Axis 1 – “A more competitive and smarter Europe” of the “Lombardy for cinema” call for proposals in support of audiovisual and film production companies, PR FESR Lombardia 2021-2027 contribution, has approved the financing of the project with a fund of €250,000.00 through Decree No. 6962 of May 7, 2024.
